R: It is the hand-held programming console for MP lifts with Via Serie control. It plugs into the controller and gives access to setup, test call and fault display through its LCD and keypad. It is a service tool for technicians, not a part that stays fitted on the lift.

R: The keypad is marked SETUP, TEST CALL, FUNCTION, ERROR, ENTER and BACK/ESC, with arrow keys and digits. SETUP is used for parameter work, TEST CALL for calling the car, and ERROR for reading faults. The exact menu depends on the controller version.
